Refers to joint pain or joint disease. Symptoms include:

swelling
pain
stiffness
diminished range of motion in joints

I will focus on the effects on the hands and wrists.

The goal of assistive devices is to protect joints from stress and create ease of completion for an activity.

Objective: Create a detachable, assistive handle for kitchen knives, paired with a knife set, in order to assist people with arthritis when cooking and eating.

Combine text and type as image to create a book about a typography and an area of interest of your choosing.

Design Problem

How can I communicate to two audiences, Mexicans and Americans, and teach them about each other's candy branding and logotypes/marks with one book?

Research

Choose what candy logotypes to dissect and compare from both countries as well as explore the sweets industries in both countries.

Making

Using a 12 column grid and the curved background I created, I organized and typeset the text in the book. For pages with more text, I utilized 8 columns and with those of less text, I used 6 columns.
